Since opening Gerard's it has received multiple accolades and notable mentions from various reputable publications including Australian Gourmet Travelle, The weekend Australians Hot 50, Financial Revie – Best Restaurant Queensland. Most recently Ben was awarded Chef of the Year in the 2017 Queensland Good Foo Guide and the bistro picked up its second chef’s hat.
